Bring your friends, colleagues, family and neighbors to meet one of the Navy's top female officers, Rear Admiral Sandy Adams. Rear Admiral Adams has amazing insight on leadership, seeing changes in women in leadership positions, and being a female leader in a predominantly male-dominated field.   She will be in Phoenix conducting Navy outreach activities to:

  • Inform
  • Educate
  • Increase Americans understanding of the Navy
  • Increase Americans awareness of its importance to national security, global trade, and prosperity

Of note, Rear Admiral Sandy Adams is a California native, is a 1978 graduate of Michigan State University and graduated from the Officer Candidate School in 1981. She has served in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm where her unit provided harbor security for the U.S. Army's logistics seaport. She was also the senior advisor to an Afghan minister of defense lieutenant in Operation Enduring Freedom.  Rear Admiral Adams holds a master's degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.

Light refreshments will be served.  NOTE CHANGE OF ADDRESS:  Event has been moved to 755 East Willetta, Phoenix, AZ, the YMCA building in which MANA House (program for homeless vets) is operated.
